Just on the phone to SWMBO and she is telling me of a problem!
The old problem with the leak off pipes reared its ugly head again.
That was sorted with new rubber (again) then she was driving from Dundee
back to Arbroath when it cut out completely, admittedly it was below the
magic 20l mark on the gauge. Got her started again and went to fill up,
wouldn't start again... did eventually, she got back to Letham, parked
up, went to start again about 30 mins later and again failed to start first time
SWMBO is very good at waiting for the glow plug light to extinguish before so it's not that
(as far as I'm aware) so I was thinking....air in the fuel system? Somehow?
As I (as usual) am thousands of miles away and SWMBO is not going to be able to understand the paperclip
test for fault codes, I have suggested to leave it overnight. Go back in the morning, see if she starts then slowly
bring the revs up, SWMBO was saying there is a reluctance to go over 2500 rpm?

So I told her to take the revs up to
4000 and hold it there for a while see if there is anything like a misfire or anything else strange.
Don't suppose there are any OOFers in the area that might be able to help, if not then it will be off to the local garage
to see what, if any, faults there are showing.
Always happens when I'm away, bloody typical.
Oh and it's Letham by Forfar if anyone can possibly help out.
Cheers
Jon
PS, it's no good suggesting any fault finding.... SWMBO loves driving the car...... but that's it!
