Unfortunately insurance is just a lottery. Postcodes have far more impact than any other factor. Statistics are something that can always be made to read whatever is wanted ::)

Amusingly, the renewal for SWMBO's Panda has just dropped through the door. Admiral... Last year was about £250, this year £550 :o ::)

Admittedly she had a Fault claim and a windscreen claim (on the courtesy car >:() but they haven't added either of them to the renewal information and her NCB was/is protected anyway but even so >:( >:(

Fortunately I have already got her (and the car) on my trade policy which gives FC cover on any vehicle which cost me....... £493 to add her with full disclosure of the claims ::) ::)

Where's the sense in that ??? Needless to say, Admiral can take a hike as the car and driver are already on cover... I just left her policy to run because we would have had to pay it in full anyway ::)

Had the same with Elephant (= admiral). Bumped the premium up by a couple of hundred then omitted the 2 no fault incidents (of which they were aware)  from the renewal schedule. When I phoned them up to tell them it was <suck through teeth> this might affect your premium.

I told them that I'd already had a quote for £200 less, so if the premium was going further up and there was no hope of haggling it down they might as well not waste their time. Bye.

Fortunately it's irrelevant... Although I might ring them and have a play before I tell them where to go ::)

I will be having a word with Admiral tomorrow, got a couple of insurances through today and they have charged me £125 for a 30 day policy on a 2.0l Mig, they quoted £31 something :o :o :o that quote was to include the £94 extra for the current Mig but had a separate invoice for that......I will be moving away from Admiral in September when we are due to renew, Master Vamps will be on his own, and I can go back to competitive quotes..... :y

This issue was resolved successfully without a problem, even better I got an English (Welsh) operator.......must only go to India sometimes...... :-X :-X :-X  Will still be resorting to shopping around when this Policy ends though... :y :y

I just had my renewal through from Axa - £696.99.

I got it down to £485 through Chris Knott, and the level of cover is much better than Axa too.

That's on the 2.5 CDX Estate with 3 yrs NCD and one no fault claim (hit while parked, third party assumed full responsibility).
