I've been getting the same up here... Saw the GP yesterday and we decided that, as my back has been getting progressively worse again over the last 12 weeks or so, I should go back and see the surgeon again to discuss options. It may be another bout of injections, it may be surgery

So, armed with the number from the GP I rang yesterday morning to be rudely told by a surly secretary that I had to be referred again. The surgeon told me at my last appointment (September last year) that my referral would be held open for 12 months. The GP was under the same impression. She said that it was werong and I shouldn't have been told that and then hung up!

This on top of them still not returning my MRI DVD which is my property because I had it done privately

The only (potential) plus side is that the GP thinks that the spinal team went to "Choose and Book" this month so I should get seen quicker

Perhaps the secretary thinks her days may be numbered now

I'll certainly be lodging a complaint, but not until I know how long I'm going to be waiting for an appointment

Looks like I'll be back at the bottom of a 20+ week waiting list again, by which time (at the current rate of deterioration) means I'll barely be able to walk by the time I'm seen again
