As I'm not a footie fan, I doubt I would subscribe if I did not work for them.

However, what makes it more attractive is all the value added stuff they add in like Broadband.

Thats why I have Virgin Media at my flat, mainly because its a listed building at no dishes are allowed  >:(

But I get 20Mbit fibre broadband, few extra quid chucks the HD pack and recording TV box in as well. Things like broadband and talk stuff are big winner for Sky so far...

But Sky's freebie broadband - if you are lucky enough to live in an ex-Easynet LLU area - is pretty dire. Slow, capped, and throttled.

Never had any issues myself, xbox, torrents at 1 Mb/sec while shooting people in COD4. Good enough for me

i see sky is going up again held price till aug then going up  >:( >:( >:(

Sky offer a service for a published price. Up to you if you want it. Nobody forces you. If you feel its too expensive for what you get, don't subscribe. Simples.

Simple, unencumbered logic - with which I'm only too happy to agree. :y

Its true, could do better in that respect. Although recently I did get 4 people from OOF, upgraded to Sports or Movies at 50% discount.
Indeed. But they could do an offer that I can benefit from :-X ::) :D

I'll see what they offer next round, out of interest what would you like to have? I can always feed it back  :)
TBH, nothing more than I already have so a discount on my current subscription would be nice ::) Some of us already have the package we want and have done for quite a while ::)

I doubt that will ever happen by being instigated their end. They are a business, and want to extract more from each customer.

You get your wish, phone them and ask to cancel the subscription. But you have to be prepared to go through with it if they are not offering anything suitable...

That's what we normally do but every time we go to do it there's something good coming up on the channels we plan to elbow ::)

Stupid thing is, I reckon we probably only watch a few hours TV per week (unless we see a film we want to watch), the rest of the time it's just on in the background ::)

If i was forced to re-think, I would probably go with a BT Infinity link, + FreeSat with LoveFilm/NetFlix for on demand movies, they are doing HD stuff now.

For £6 month its a bargin!
