As you look at the fuel cap, at the 6 o/c position there`s a slot, fits in that

Im going to have a look at mine now  ::)

Definitely not on my 2002. I know what you mean as it was on the Vectra and got in the way of the fuel cap when it was in the slot.  ::)
Supplied new in my Omega glovebox.  :y Happy to be proved wrong though.  :y

Edit: Took that picture bloody quick didn't you Ben.  :y ;D ;D

Just had a look at mine, there is no clip to hold the valve remover, only the petrol cap holder at the top left hand side

On the bottom pic, the piece of gray plastic on the right just below the hinge of the filler cap, it clips in there not actually on the filler cap itself

I just tried mine in that hole on the right, below the hinge, and apart from it being a round hole with a flat bit of plastic going in to it, it certainly did not look designed to go there.  :-\
After forcing it in, it just dangled there precariously, ready to catch any drips of fuel as you remove the nozzle.  ::) ::)
If it is meant to go there it is a shite idea.

My thoughts exactly, it cant go there. Face it, the Omega didnt have a place for the valve remover, unless someone has completely changed the fuel cap cover to an Astra G one (with the little clip at the 6 o'clock position) and managed to get the same colour or had it resprayed, iirc, the Omega and Astra G fuel cap cover are exactly the same??

Here you go!  ......

I can honestly say that is the very first time I've ever seen it fitted there on any Omega. I think you've just found a convenient hole to fit it into.  ;) ;) No mention of it in my Omega's hand book, but makes reference to it in the Astra's hand book & shows where it lives on the filler cap too.

Maybe a pole should be set up.  ::)

Its been there for the last 6 years the car has been in the family, in fact I never noticed it till I cleaned all the crud out from the filler cap, it had not been moved in the time we have had the car, I will ask the previous owner as he is FIL 's neighbour and is an avid Omega fan still having three more of them.
