Sounds great.
Do we have mains hook up as I could then bring the jet space heater as well?
Will make sure that its not too close to anything flammable.

otherwise sounds a great pitch.... many thanks

Of course my friend .... though you'll probably need an extra EHU lead to reach the bail hostel shore plug. Glad you mentioned that, 'cos I clean forgot about the dodgy electricity supply, which is free of charge .... apparently. ;)

And that crane driver is absolutely top notch, I can assure you.
He managed to perfectly lift a pallet loaded with flaggons of White Lightning over 150 feet up the gas storage tank for the demo lads this morning, without a hitch. They don't drink tea ....  :o

I have a connection for Sparklers. They are not for children or the feint hearted, they are the Industrial version ;D
He assures me they are perfectly safe when used at arms length! :y

He also has some rockets..... not too sure about these :-\
He says these are Army Surplus but only just outside of their NATO 'use by'date :o

The guy is in West Brom so very close to J1 of the M5 so easy to get down to the Bash :y

Let me know B if you require anything :y

Is this the geezer who Daz got them so-called fireworks from last year Si? :-\

Maybe best to leave those 'industrial' sparklers alone then, though the rockets should be fine I suppose.

Can you find out how much they'll cost, or have we gotta take a job lot?
You negotiate with him and report back, OK. ;)

I was chatting down t' pub and this subject came up ... really nice middle eastern guy called Sam offered me 7 rockets ?? 'Twas a tad difficult understanding him .. rather a strong accent ... but I think he was even happy to pay for me to go somewhere warm to collect them. Do you think I should take his offer ???

So, accommodation for her and her minder please :y

Good man Dave, stuck ya down for a 'dog friendly' room! :y

Entwood might be in touch, as they could need a lift. Could you oblige if necessary?

Oh ..... any chance that you could bring some of that marrow pickle? ;)

I now have in my possession a jar of said pickle  ;) 8)

The local tree surgeon's just delivered a pile of trees ready to build our bonfire. ;)

Also recently-arrived are a skip-load of tyres, and I've cleaned-up the mess salvaged all the combustible Toyota Landcruiser interiors that appeared the morning after the previous 'occupants' disappeared without trace vacated the site. Still gotta shift a few washing machines/fridges etc before our crane-driver clown friend can erect the bonfire for us. :o

The Nissen Huts accomodation seems to be very welcoming, and will add a confirmed list ASAP.
Caravans/Trailer tents have their own pleasant area alongside the gas works fence. ???

The lad from the petrol station next door tells me that as a special offer to OOF members, he'll flog LPG at 25p per litre on the night. Payment must be by cash only for some reason. ::)

As you can imagine see, everything's under control! :y

With only a few days to go now, I reckon that it's time for an update:

The very co-operative crane-driving Mick has just about finished lifting the trees into position for us. All the tyres are piled-up into the base, though it seems that the skip which contained 'em has somehow entered the metal recycling process disappeared overnight without trace, along with the pallet-load of scaffolding pipes which were strewn across the 'hotel' car park .... after the crane jib unfortunately struck the gable end of one of the made slight contact with the roof/end wall of one of the 4-poster suites. Mick's a jack of all trades (it seems), and has carried-out a most effective repair by tying a tarpaulin over the said damage. He informs me that the affected suite now boasts air-conditioning at no extra cost to our sponsor .... fair play to the man .... I suppose :o

Anyway, the fun starts at 6pm; and we're free to arrive on site from mid-day onwards.
A full English breakfast (not sponsored by Auto Addict) will be available the following morning for a fiver each, and we all need to leave by 11am.

BBQ:
Mrs Seth (assisted by Mrs dad1uk .... apparently)
Usual fayre - including prime Wiltshire pork bangers (courtesy of Mr Entwood); 100% British-ish quarter-pounders (courtesy of ....); and marrow pickle (courtesy of Taxi Driver) etc etc.
m.ian's kindly donating a small sack of spuds to sling into the bonfire too!

Piglet Roast:
Auto Addict's associates lads from the Black Country

Fireworks Man Men:
West Brom Pyromaniacstechnic geezers, followed by Plomien with his 'traditional' Swansea-made fireworks extravaganza

Fuel Supplier:
Lazydocker

Security/Crowd Control:

This spirited little chap!

Byron, do you want me to bring a couple of empty cylinders, they usually go with a bang? I know roughly how long they take to explode get hot enough to make a spectacular finale but will not say on here due to legal safety implications.  ;) My previous injuries experience of this shows that it has the added advantage of extinguishing the inner eight feet of the main bonfire, making it much safer to leave unattended while you sleep.  ::) ::) You do tend to end up with a lot of smaller fires scattered around but on these cold nights that must surely be a bonus as everyone benefits from the warmth.  ::)
I've only done it on the allotment farmland to date but I'm sure that I am experienced enough to not cause any safety issues.  ::)
Won't be long now, looking forward to seeing you again.  :y We won't be able to stay over due to work commitments.  ;) ;)

Safety & Liability Disclaimer: Don't try this at home kids. In fact don't try it at all. It is very very dangerous and is only to be carried out by experienced chucker-on-ers.  :y I can not emphasise that enough, you play with fire, you get burnt.  :(

Do all men get long poking sticks for the bonfire and welding gloves so that we can get our primeval fire poking urges out.
I also have some nicely spiced up pickled onions with some home grown chilli's for spice.
(I wouldn't not advise standing with your back to the fire afterwards unless you want your own fireworks)

Bring 'em with you Matt, but keep 'em away from TheBoy .... I need your solemn word on this, OK. ;)

Ooerr, that reminds me .... gotta speak with Mr Lazydocker about stocking-up with air fresheners, else their caravan'll need fumigating the following morning .... :-[
