Made it back from another short ban :-X ::)

I've managed to rig up a tank for the back of the car with an old oil drum and had a spare pump knocking about so should be able to spray the 200L of fuel I'm bringing... I reckon that will get it going nicely :y We'll be there lunchtime ish :y

I am not sure that you are the sort of member that should be attending a meet, you have a bad reputation and we need to think about all the newer members....... :-X :-X sorry but this has to be said...regardless of the fuel you can offer.......I am sure we can find this elsewhere...... :) :)

But the message I was sent said it was all because of you ::)

Nope, you have been had, cos you are not in the clique........ :P :P :P

The sun's shining and everything's ready for this evening.

Be careful as you approach the site entrance .... just ignore the 'Police - Do not cross' tape (or make-out that you didn't see it, when challenged if stopped .... and searched) :o

Well we were going to just turn up incognito, but reading right through the thread it appears this 'do' will be a little too tame for us so we're just going to stay at home this year & set off a few catherine wheels (on next doors fence :D). Have as much fun as the White Lightning allows and try not to burn down the neighbourhood! ;D :y

With only a few days to go now, I reckon that it's time for an update:

The very co-operative crane-driving Mick has just about finished lifting the trees into position for us. All the tyres are piled-up into the base, though it seems that the skip which contained 'em has somehow entered the metal recycling process disappeared overnight without trace, along with the pallet-load of scaffolding pipes which were strewn across the 'hotel' car park .... after the crane jib unfortunately struck the gable end of one of the made slight contact with the roof/end wall of one of the 4-poster suites. Mick's a jack of all trades (it seems), and has carried-out a most effective repair by tying a tarpaulin over the said damage. He informs me that the affected suite now boasts air-conditioning at no extra cost to our sponsor .... fair play to the man .... I suppose :o

Anyway, the fun starts at 6pm; and we're free to arrive on site from mid-day onwards.
A full English breakfast (not sponsored by Auto Addict) will be available the following morning for a fiver each, and we all need to leave by 11am.

BBQ:
Mrs Seth (assisted by Mrs dad1uk .... apparently)
Usual fayre - including prime Wiltshire pork bangers (courtesy of Mr Entwood); 100% British-ish quarter-pounders (courtesy of ....); and marrow pickle (courtesy of Taxi Driver) etc etc.
m.ian's kindly donating a small sack of spuds to sling into the bonfire too!

Piglet Roast:
Auto Addict's associates lads from the Black Country

Fireworks Man Men:
West Brom Pyromaniacstechnic geezers, followed by Plomien with his 'traditional' Swansea-made fireworks extravaganza

Fuel Supplier:
Lazydocker

Security/Crowd Control:

This spirited little chap!

ACCOMMODATION - generously sponsored by Auto Addict

Is it me or is someone missing from this list ?? I have a feeling that a certain Welshman may be staying in rather better accommodation than the rest of us ?? I bet he has decent Air Con and heating ... :(

Missed that Nige, perhaps the certain welshman is the guy so doesn't need accomodation ;D
 or
perhaps after the local 'heddlu' have read this post as evidence of said welsh organiser and he may be given accomodation courtesy of the Queen! It would have a bar in but I fear no Doombar or any other such alcohol!! ;D ;D

Now there's a thought .. if he fails to provide the "facilities" to our expected standard ... we park him atop the bonfire .. just to keep him warm .... :)  ... like that idea .. LOTS .. :)

Should be there soon, taking it easy though as I don't want the fireworks going off in the boot, also bringing some Polish Sausage which will go nicely on the BBQ

You should all have turned up on Saturday, pig roast was delicious, made a fortune selling it to the locals.

I think it's about time we lit the fire :y

I've only got a lighter on me though and I have no intention of getting close enough to light it with that :o :o

Shall we send a rocket into it? :-\ ???

I've heard that if you park an Insignia nose first in the bonfire, you should be able to use the cigarette lighter... just run like 'Ussain Bolt' while lobbing the hot lighter over your shoulder.

Or you could use a power sounder... possibly urging it into life with some jump leads and that Pylon just over in the corner
