That's been done too!   :y

That's a BMW 5 litre V12 in a Carlton estate!

Very nice  :)

The 3.0 V6 engine management system doesn't rely on that many connections into the main body loom, so I would transfer engine, engine loom and ECU with all ancillaries as one. You then need 12v feeds, immobiliser, diagnostic connection, fuel pump wiring mated with the car's loom, which shouldn't be too hard.

Engine ECU might miss the speed signal from the ABS and perhaps the torque reduce signal from the TC/Autobox but as long as that's wired in the inactive state it shouldn't cause a problem.

you'll need to swap the ar25 gearbox in the dippy to an ar35, cos otherwise you'll break it.

My 24V diamond had an ar25 fitted, and it only lasted about 5,000 miles :.(

this is all reasonable easy.

you'll need to replicate the Omega inside the Carlton if you get whta I mean.

this means that the engine, engine controls, auto box and controls and the ABS must be transferred. But as long as you make sure you carry across all of the parts then you'll be fine.

Oh, no driver involvement? Seems like an ideal opportunity to add that. ::)
