Quite understandable that she was panicing a bit, where she was trying to find on a map in which part of Australia, Russia is located.

As it happens, I was laying in an outdoor pond last night, looking at the sky for other reasons, and there were loads of shooting stars, quite a treat.

Not sure if due to asteroid, or simply because it was proper dark here. Proper dark.

Yes, I saw that, quite some hole. It will be interesting to see what they manage to retrieve from the lake's bed?

That is some hole and I am sure divers will be going down to see what caused it / how big the thing is!  Meteorites are usually quite small when found, so perhaps it was the heat from the meteor that expanded it's entry point.

The size will depend upon whether a diver of fisherman finds it!
