I think we should just accept that any ready meal is not what it claims to be. ;D ;D ;D

I buy my meat from know sources at local butchers or farmers markets. :y :y :y

What do people expect? The product is very cheap. Clearly no ethics involved. Innefectual food testing.

There was a programme on the other day showing "end of life" horses being butchered not in accordance with rules. A horse charity was trying to buy them to preserve their lives, traders were buying them to knowing flog them into the food chain. Just what else is getting in unknown? Terrorist charter? There is a concern Bute gets into humans.

Now a practical question. I have been advised by Findus to retrun the product I bought for a refund. Will they also pay my travel expenses?  ;D ;D

PS Avoid any food containing a product called filler......................

Exactly.. With supermarkets turning the thumb screws ever tighter manufacturers will do whatever they can get away with to preserve some sort of margin on the products they produce. Clearly, until very recently, they have been able to get away with putting anything that can loosely be defined as "meat", as in a bit chopped off an animal, or swept up off the floor of an abattoir, into a product described as beef.

If you care what you're eating, support your local butcher instead. :y
