the van seat problem
« on: 14 February 2013, 18:54:06 »

some of you may remember back in march last year was the dissapointed owner of a new movano etc etc.

i eventually took my complaint to vauxhall direct regarding the lack of adjustment to the drivers seat which was quoted as follows in brochure:-

drivers seat adjustable for height, cushion angle, reach and rake

my argument was the seat did not tilt

after various emails with vauxhall acting stupid and not understanding the problem even stating that they could not fit an optional fully adjustable seat at the dealers as it was factory order!!!!

eventually they offered me £150 in vouchers if i accepted the situation, which i did not and asked at the very least the seat be replaced.

The movano 2013 brocure is now out and low and behold the discription reads as follows;-

Drivers seat adjustable for height, reach and rake,

would this not very good grounds to procede with any action that the van was definatley not as described

would be nice if i could give the van back with a refund or am i hoping for too much its only covered 5K miles and still not a year old

any sensible advice please  ;) ;)

If the cushion tilt was written in as a condition of purchase, then yes, although should really have been dealt with at delivery :-\

Return will be almost impossible if you have used it - it's not something you found out about as you were using it, but rather were aware of before you did so.

Push them to change the seat as  a good will gesture?
