Is the sump stripped, or is it just the bolt is rounded off?

If latter, get a spare bolt and washer/seal, and bring it over if you like

as i dont have a spare would there be anything wrong with reusing it... but making sure its only done up just enough... the only disadvantage i can see is having to use vice grips to get it off each time  :-\

dont forget there are two types of vice grips.....straight jaw   ,,,,and curved jaw........curved may be easier.    also if you are thinking of using the extractors....irwin are the best there are  and you can buy them separately... :y

Not a good idea mate - new sump plug and washer/seal should only be a couple of quids ::)

If they're the same as Mondeo ones I've got a couple he can have ;) :y

Edit: If I can find them :-X Used to only be available as packs of 5 (or was it 10) when I was in the workshop
