Any thoughts about this JAGUAR
Really like the shape and diesel economy but have no idea of reliability  :-\

Mechanically based on a 2.0 Mondeo Tdci although most of the running gear is bespoke Jaguar :y

Any auto box problems as im looking for auto , could get away with manual providing the clutch is light .

Oh dear, Mr EMD. The Jaguar Mondeo X-Type is to be avoided if it's anything like the one that  we ( Mrs Opti) owned.

That was the 3.0 SE auto, finished in a fetching shade of green, and it suffered just about every electrical gremlin known to man. The auto box was also extremely jerky.

It went reasonably well (when it was running) and handled acceptably thanks to four wheel drive.......but at the end of the day it was no more than a Mondeo in a posh frock.

If you lust after a Jag, you might be better off with a real one.

I believe that James CDX and Guffer own a pukka Jaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggg. :y

There are some piccies of it somewhere on this forum, if you're interested. :y

2.1 litre V6 with 5 speed manual box.  Very little room in back, based on Mondeo floorpan (rusty sills and inners!!), good point lots of parts are Ford and cheaper than the Jaguar parts :y

That's better, but hardly Jaguar's finest hour. I believe the one that Aaron owned was blessed with the full fat 6 litre V12 lump. :y
