Few years ago I had my stereo equipment stolen, police couldn't give give two hoots, said there was nothing they could do. I managed to find out who'd done it, I drove round there and sat outside. I phoned the police and told them I was going round their house with a sledgehammer to get it back and within 5 minutes there was 2 patrol cars there! Unfortunatly they had already sold it or where keeping it else where. Funny how they were too busy to go look for it but not too busy to come after me! Makes me sooooooo mad!  >:(

Youve just confirmed 1 (of many) of the reason why i hate the police so much! Had a very very similar situation, mates bike worth £1500 was stolen (we were 16 so 1500 was A LOT of money), we done all the work the police are meant to do, found out who stole it, where then were keeping it and when/who they were selling it to (it was stolen to order), the police said they were going right round to recover the bike, a few days later they said they went round and it wasnt there, now considering my other mate stayed above this guy and was waiting for the police all day. We knew they were talking out their arse, long story short, we went to the police station, spoke to the same person, gave them a firm peice of our mind and he threatened to arrest us for breach of the peace if we didnt leave the station!

Hmm and they wonder why no-one respect them?

police never bothered when i had my rover broken into. nothing sweeter than revenge when you find out the culprit as the bloke found out who hit my son.  i left him out cold on the floor with his face battered to break. only way people will learn i think.

Why don't people focus on their anger on the scummy criminals rather than slag off the police.

Did anyone witness the theft?  Was there any CCTV?

No doubt the ar$eh0l3$ who stole have more police convictions than Gordon Brown has new tax ideas.....  Trouble is, the Criminal Justice System is knackered and the scum know it.....

Why not lobby parliament or your MP instead of the usual 'knock the police route....

Police continue to catch the same villains, but nowt happens in court, rather NOWT!!!!

I'd be pis5ed off if my alloys were nicked though, I do have oodles of sympathy  :'(

Agreed Edward....the police are busy doing paperwork for most of their shifts and that is why so many patrol cars can be seen in the station yard!  This is what the present Government, in power for 11 years, has achieved!  Well done Gordon Brown! Get him and his men out a.s.a.p. >:( >:(
