Lol, me three!

What are the exact symptoms Tunnie - any smell of petrol in header tank?

I'm undecided if it smells of petrol.  Initially I thought it did, but then I thought it smelt more solvent like (and I promise I hadn't been on the glue earlier ), hence why I asked Tunnie to do a compression test.

For the little it costs, on a project 2.0 you may as well go the whole hog and replace all the top end gaskets, seals anyway... if it's a keeper.

He has to do something, as the tinker doesn't even start.  I'd also paperclip it on the offchance there is a sensor problem, and the coolant loss is unrelated.

Doesn't start! Oh dear.

I'd say paperclip it first, and if no codes - get the comp. tester out!

This is Tunnie we are speaking about.  He's probably changing the stereo first, or whatever you you youngsters think are the priorities nowadays

Tunnies will involve wiring some inverter for a PC to the battery with croc clips whilst running the wire twice round the exterior of teh car first.  

If it was me......it would have been compression tested and the head off by now!

I popped the head off the project 2.0 within 12hrs of having it home

Maybe he's waiting for it to go rusty - to give it that "Senator" look, before he gets too attached to it?
