Lol, me three!

What are the exact symptoms Tunnie - any smell of petrol in header tank?

I'm undecided if it smells of petrol.  Initially I thought it did, but then I thought it smelt more solvent like (and I promise I hadn't been on the glue earlier ;D), hence why I asked Tunnie to do a compression test.

For the little it costs, on a project 2.0 you may as well go the whole hog and replace all the top end gaskets, seals anyway... if it's a keeper.
He has to do something, as the tinker doesn't even start.  I'd also paperclip it on the offchance there is a sensor problem, and the coolant loss is unrelated.

Doesn't start! Oh dear.

I'd say paperclip it first, and if no codes - get the comp. tester out!
This is Tunnie we are speaking about.  He's probably changing the stereo first, or whatever you you youngsters think are the priorities nowadays ;D

Well i dont know about you but i still class myself in that category - and your ages with me old yin  :y

Tunnies will involve wiring some inverter for a PC to the battery with croc clips whilst running the wire twice round the exterior of teh car first.  ;D ;D ;D

If it was me......it would have been compression tested and the head off by now!

Maybe he's waiting for it to go rusty - to give it that "Senator" look, before he gets too attached to it?  ;)
