That's why there are two extra lanes and a hard shoulder ::)

Choose the one most convenient and pass them as quickly as possible :P

Obviously not how to actually deal with thge problem, but soooo tempting :-X

How many FPNs are there in your books?

5 to a book, used to be 10 but since they changed them we only get 1/2 now  :-[

I've said it before........IF we were left to do what we were supposed to do "Traffic" jobs, It would literally be like you say Kevin 'shooting fish out of a barrel' Most of the time we are used as just being a 'fast panda' these days - domestics etc... because there isn't enough other bobbies on the beat!

Couple of weeks ago I managed a whole morning (Very rare) 3 hours on enforcement & went through 3 books on phones alone. Unfortunately the message isn't getting through and the penalties aren't tough enough, but the fine is going up to £100 shortly, as are all other fixed penalties.

On the other hand on a bad day (eg. the other day) had to arrest someone for no insurance (don't ask!  ::) ::) ::) ) spent over 3 hrs in custody  >:( >:( >:(  Simple RTC's can take hours to sort out - waiting for paramedics & recovery etc. and it is very frustrating, often leaving us feeling like we ain't done anything all day.

In an ideal world especially for traffic enforcement I'd love to be in a plain car (who does sommat they shouldn't in front of a marked up Beemer??) but we can't because we are told we have to be in a marked car. Annoying the amount of people I see when driving home on mobiles or texting  >:(

Excellent, keep it up. Pisses me off the amount of - usually young women - in our village, taking primary school kids the 300yds to school in their 4x4's while on the phone. I'd put it up to a £1000. >:( >:( >:(

Sat behind some split arse at 8am this morning while taking the missus to work.
Her speed was anywhere between 28 and 33 mph in the outside lane of a 40 mph duel carriageway.
First, she spent a good 15 seconds leaning across the passenger seat fiddling with something (handbag) :-\

Then it was time to do her friggin makeup.
And finally, it was phone call time  ::) >:( >:(

Unfortunately, too many people forget they are responsible for a 1 to 2 tonne lump of moving metal that can have fatal consequences when it all goes wrong where only 10% of their attention is on driving. The most dangerous thing we all do is moving around. 1 in 200 people in the UK will be killed in their lifetime as a result. In many other countries it is much worse. In the Ukraine it is about 1 in 80, where road conditions and driving standards are very, very poor.  :( :o :o :o

About 2 weeks ago there was a woman convicted of dangerous driving where she was zooming in on her SatNav and not watching the road. She didn't see the cyclist she killed. It was a straight bit of road and the prosecution said she has 18 seconds in which to see the cyclist. She will be sentenced on the 31st August, so not only has she ruined the family of the person killed but also her own family, where I hope she gets a good long jail sentence.
