Having worked for TNT, that doesn't surprise me. Personally I normally use UPS :y

Which reminds me, I have two parcels to send :-[

I had the choice of several carriers via interparcel,I just put in the address 2 hours later it was on it's way, over the moon with price and service.
I believe interparcel are like a comparison site and therefore already have the deals etc.

That could complicate things if you need to claim, as your contract is with Interparcel rather than the carrier :-\

Not too bad, just means Interparcel talk to UPS rather than yourself, but the end result should be the same.

According to t&c's contract is with I/Parcel and any claims are via them, not the carrier.
Aim to resolve in 28 days,industry standard is 8 - 12 weeks!
Mind you it's same as insurance, got to make sure everything is packed properly etc, otherwise claim would be void in any scenario or carrier.

I've used UPS twice recently once from Poland and once from Germany . Both occassions went smoothly with 48 hour delivery to Ireland even though it ends up in the hands of either DPD or Fastway when it gets down to this backwater .
I've also been using DHL a lot for parts from Germany and their system is 100%dependable and very reasonable too. I have been buying on German E bay and the Paket ( spelt that way ) system they operate allows me to arrange and pay from home for collection and shipment from Germany . €80 for four 16" alloys and again delivered in 48 hours .They even supplied 4 sturdy 16 " wheel boxes for €15.
The world's getting smaller by the day. :)

Last year I needed to send some expensive and quite delicate medical equipment to Libya. Yep . Smooth as silk, and not as expensive as I thought it would be. My customer in Libya specified shipment by DHL.

My mate in Houston recently had to send some documents to Auckland and used DHL.  They arrived within 48 hours and were tracked all the way!  :y
