just wondering how much i should sell my omega elite for? its a 1998 (s) reg 2.5 v6 done 126k got 11 months mot and 6 months tax full leather and all the usual elite equipment but not got the satnav! little rust but only got two good tyres rears could do with replacing. looking for 1250 is that to much? oh its champagne colour.

might be worth more to you to keep it given the sad depreciation, tragically its not uncommon to see facelift ones selling for barely a couple of hundred more than you're hoping for

I know someone who has recently sold an Elite same year as yours 12 months MOT, just had cambelt, water pump, cam cover gaskets, gearbox oil and filter change and its in excellent condition for £800

 there is a 51 plate GLS 2.2 manual with 60K fsh, mot till dec 08 at my local auctions at the moment.

It has now passed through 4 times without a bid, it's reserve is £1500 and I have been told that anything over £1k takes it home.

Means my 1999 CDX is worth peanuts up here

i took a silver cdx 2.5 v6 v plate to auction other day bloke said reserves 350 on it! its in measham car auctions if any ones intrested. might be in 2 morrows sale.

sounds more like you need to shop around for insurance, not a different car!

tried shopping around cheapest is 1300 n dearest if 5k! can insure a rs turbo with mods running around 180bhp for 900 quid yet they want 1300 to insure my 164 bhp omega! mmmm

can i ask how old you are?

i've been driving for nearly 4 years, had an accident 2½ in and therefore only have 1 year no claims, i live on a council estate and park in the street, and i have business use on my policy, its a 2001 Y reg 3.0 elite, i've only recently turned 27 and i pay £900

yeh im 24 25 in october been driving since 2003 but got no claims as been using works vans, etc will have 1 years no claims  at the end of the month! and got 3 points on my licence. oh and live in a really rough place on council estate.
