Interesting that members think 93.60 for an hour and a quarter of dealer work time is expensive.

Yet the highly recommended wheels in motion in Chesham charge 70+VAT for an hours labour. That is 84 per hour or 105 for an hour and a quarter. And they are not even a dealership! Just a suspension/tyre outfit. A good one none the less. But more expensive than Vauxhall main dealership prices!

To me that sounds cheap. My BMW dealership costs in 2010 were 125 per hour.

£60 ::)

Whats that? Mates rates? Frequent flyer rates?

Us normal folk have to pay the full price you see. Plus I am sure they overcharged me for something else as well. Which reminds me I need to send them an email re: that.

Sorry? Well seeing as you asked so nicely...  :-X

Ignore me, I am just having a bad day.

Yes, inconveniently located at the rear of the engine.

Dealer service on er Astra costs me about 60 notes plus the parts (trade club) which to keep the ten year warranty is pretty reasonable.

I can beat that, they've just given me, voluntarily, a full refund, for the inconvenience they caused me.

Full service £0, + TC parts which I supplied myself.

Well its certainly not for a spanner monkey to get out his torque wrench!

On a slightly more serious note, its to maintain the warranty, nothng more, as I know dam well I will do a much better job myself.

Still, now having to use Drive in leicester for my trade club bits as Aston no longer do trade club but the Dexos2 was less than trade club price so thats a bonus!

I did notice him checking the wheel bolts with a torque wrench, probably had to get out the manual to figure it out ;)

I think the point Andy C is making is that the building his desk and the workshop that the yts monkey work in need to be paid for somehow :-\

It's just a shame said yts monkey can't do the bread and butter work...

It appears an interim service, labour only, they misquoted me, should have been a full service.

Huge mark up on parts before criminal labour charges are even added. ::) ::) ::) ;)

Although use of the toilet is also 'free'. :) Which you'll need to use when you get the bill.
