Painted mine a couple of years ago chose gold smooth hammerite to go with my black car. Still looking as good as new. As said the main thing is good preparation  :y

Place called Big Red that do a full refurbish and then colour coating of your choice so you end up with almost new calipers in your own colour
Not cheap but they do a first class job and everything is coloured and heat resistant

I've been thinking of using this Co, have you used them then? Any info/pictures of the job they did?

Have used big red for quite a lot of bits and cannot fault them on service and quality.
few of the abs use them aswell :y

Rang biggred yesterday, their up the road from me in Worcester.  Quoted me between £200 - £300 to refurb and paint 4 x calipers and paint them choice of colours.  Emailed me back with a prce  after chatting on phone.  That's new seals, nipples, etc etc.  will sort it in the new year.

Check the price of reconditioned callipers from lokal factor or eurocrap, some good deals to be had,even GM worth a call.

Ive bought seal kits from them and refurbed the callipers my self.
 pistons normally all right,just clean the cailiper up with a wire cup on angle grinder,then wash clean with petrol or thinners, allow to dry then reassemble with new seals.and the paint is available on ebay.
