If Opti clean is the gm stuff, I don't like the chalky residue it leaves.

While the car plan types may be inferior in other areas, I don't know, it leaves no residue at all afaict.

Yeah, not having a black car, that's less important to me. Besides, gives the Kosos a task...

Good offer on screen wash here at the moment

LINK

Buy x4 and it will work out as £7.08 for 20 Litres

Oddly enough they don't have the same offer on their own website. Says 65 Sold in past hour of posting this.  :o

Colour irrelevant to the windscreen and from the driver seat. ;D

Conclusion was drawn from the previous car, if you notice the dates in the link. 2010 ;)

Assumed you meant the mess it made of bodywork. Not found any issues with cleaning/visibility when I've used it. Just too expensive

none at all  ;D
You need to. Fortunately your CD doesn't have headlight washers, so you can't knacker that pump of nozzles. You'll find the guaze under the screen pump clogs soon with a whitem stringy slime.

Screenwash has additives to prevent this growth, as well as provide a better clean and antifreeze properties.

Now I know this I will be sure to use something (most likely autoglym) as I don't need that headache in my life  :y

GM stuff because its the cheapest I find, mainly becuase it give brilliant freeze protection at high dilution rates.

I think I use about 5 litres a year over the two cars and 30K miles

Sadly, Mrs TB has headlight washers, drives in at stupid o'clock in the morning, and uses washers at the first hint of a bit of dirt hitting the screen. 6.3l (diluted, obviously) a week isn't unusual if she drives every day  :-[

Tradeclub website is broken again, mainly because its looked after by mongrels, but seem to recall its well over £7 for 5l now...
