Yes 7 roundabouts.
I must lean to count.

. For me thare are only 3 - Amesbury, Stonehenge and Sparkford.
And having checked, even google earth shows horrendous traffic in their approach, and there's almost more single carriageway than dual carriageway. Why on EARTH would anyone choose single carriageway over three lanes of motorway.
The only queue I can see is the westbound one on/near the Amesbury roundabout. This isn't caused by the roundabout itself, it's caused because the first bit of single carrageway is shortly after it. I'd guess that photo was taken on a summer bank holiday Friday afternoon/evening with all the Londoners traveling down south to their second holiday homes. The queue is rarely up the hill to near Solstace park services at other times. As you come down the hill past Boscombe Down airfield you can see the road past the roundabout going up the hill in the distance. If you see stationary traffic, you duck off at solstace park and use one of the secret local roads, for local people only mind - Londoners must sit and wait in the queue:)
A34 is the same IMO, as far a dual carriageway goes. Hopeless.
Agree with you on that. Southbound on a sunday evening from the M40 all the way to the A303 is dreadful. Once on the A303 you can relax and all the problems are over
PS - "Londoner" means anyone who lives east of Salisbury, "The Midlands" starts immediatley north of the A303, and "The North" is anywhere north of the M4.
