I am so impatient if i want something doing i need it doing now!!!
My last impulse buy was my MV6, not shoes or handbags!!
Jimbob won't argue which i find infuriating as i can argue the hind leg off a donkey!

You are lucky LJay!  Recently I had (yet again) a desire to buy two pairs of shoes on impulse in the morning (well my collection had fallen to below 32 pairs) and in the afternoon I bought my current car (as I have done with all others) on impulse in the afternoon!

Why I do this I don't really know, just always thoroughly enjoyed impulse and planned shopping, and love that feeling of satisfaction of buying something I didn't expect to obtain! ;D ;D ;D ;)   I'm just tingling all over thinking about it now! 8-) 8-)

As should be engraved on the make-up mirror of every female .. (and probably applies to some blokes too .. )

"Act in haste ...... Repent at leisure "

The extended memory for pointless things gene
The remember all minute errors in long term storage to hold against him gene

It's the ability to retrospectively edit reality that defeats me every time.  If my wife was correct about all the things she reminds me about, either she has been married to someone else for the past 34 years or I must have Alzheimers.  On those very rare occasions where I can establish a fact to bear out my recollection, the subject is changed rapidly.

Never have I heard the words "Oh yes, that's right" addressed to me by my wife. :(

It is because you as a man have one perspective on the issue, but we as women have the other , correct, perspective on it because we see the truth of the situation. ;D ;)

As Plato suggested we have been taken from the chains of ignorance that keep us bound to the cave floor, towards the light of truth and knowledge!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;) :y

Epistemology on a car forum!  Long live The Republic!

Are we going to try Logic next?

Anyway, Socrates was just a drunken old homosexual paedophile.  :) :) :)

We could do Jereyboam; of how The Republic's educational system would be a far superior logical replacement for the non-meritocracy one in place now.......but that is going too far for a car forum!
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Socrates however was just given 'bad press' in ancient Athens, just as many contemporary soles suffer from with the likes of the Daily Mirror and Sun!  He really just wanted to impart his ideas of a new democratic system on the young boys of the city, like Plato!  ;D ;D ;D ;)

If death by hemlock is your idea of "just being given a bad press", I don't think I want to know your views on capital punishment. :(

So, it's Plato for education -  Machiavelli for Prime Minister?

Mind you, he could probably learn a trick or two from Gordon :)

Machiavelli has some sound ideas., but as PM?....oh hell! :o :o :o :o  As you say though he could learn from GB, as he certainly appears to have some "ends" in mind with all that we are going through.....our demise?!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I also got told "a good row clears the air". Never understood that one.......why?
What is a good row? If a girl i was with was worried about something or a problem arose, i though he idea was to support eachother not take it out on eachother.
    I must've missed a point somewhere!!!! :D

I have found that to be very true.  If you bottle things up, hiding what should be said because you do not want to upset your love, then eventually it can destroy a marriage / relationship as resentment builds and love turns to hate.  If you release the tension by having a good row every so often then it clears the air and you can enjoy 'making up', which is a REAL pleasure in itself!! :-* :-* :-*  That makes for a healthy marriage / partnership :y :y
