Thank you for all your help guys, looks like I'm going to have to live with it for quite a while as I'm looking at £130 to £160 😱😱
Its really bad too there's two long cracks an inch apart directly in my field of vision from top to bottom, a massive chip where it spread from on the rear view mirror and a small one near the tax disc.

Definately keeping in mind about the trims.

Just as long as I can keep driving. There dosent seem to be any omegas at Scrapyard's in Oldham. If anyone seems one from the surrounding area give us a shout. Also if you have fitters that are able to fit second hand windscreens let us know please. If the cost outweighs a new one then I won't bother.

Must get down to formulating a good lie for the police 😂

I did not mean to say that as I am not a criminal and as you can see this sentence was meant to be taken light heartedly as indicated by the smiley face. I would never break the law. I am very sorry for any offence caused. The police is an important pillar of society and upholds democracy and enforces the upkeeping of traditional British values and institutions. I would like to make it clear that I would never in a million years 'formulate' a lie to the police as I am a law abiding individual and I would like to reiterate the fact that I was joking and in my defence by coming to this forum in the first place I wanted to solve the matter of the cracked windscreen to abide by the law and to avoid being caught by the police in the first place.

By the way the guy who said I should commit insurance fraud was much worse so concentrate on him not me.

Sorry its late and I'm tired and I'M NOT A CRIMINAL!

By the way why is there no edit post feature!!!!

There is but it times out :y

The main point is that, being a public forum, absolutely anyone can read everything anyone posts...

You're comment may well have been made in jest, but next time, at least stick a :P or a :D after it ::)

Try these, I used to use them when I was in the trade. Good job and good price.
