You don't need such large setups these days, supercharger technology has moved on a lot.

The VXR8 I was lucky enough to get a drive of last week (dam dam dam, want one!) which had a mere 580 bhp (680bhp as of this week as its having a new cam, injectors and fuel pump plus remap) with super charger setup, the charger can go over the 100bhp mark and if you want more, you fit two, one for each bank.

That thing was very very very good, super car acceleration, very good handling, 0-60 sub 4 seconds....

Given GMs lack of imagination wrt global sales, one of theses might be nice

The thing is, for £30k, a nearly new VE  Commodore SS Sportwagon could be on the drive

For less than 30K you could have a 680bhp VXR8

  For less than twenty even, easily, but saloon only, too old and not white
