basically glad it was nowt serious and ECG would have showed anything untoward going on...but trust me if you were suffering a heart attack I doubt you would have been able to drive yourself anywhere...best repair for a torn muscle is rest and sleep :y

I presume Cem means what we'd call a "stress test" - i.e. stick you on a treadmill and get you going at max chat while wired up to machinery to make sure you're not about to expire..

Cem everything is an effort on the NHS... ;D

I agree ..  :)  but in our ages, arteries start to contract  and be blocked easily which effects all system..  most of the time misdiagnosing is more easy than the correct one when one problem clouds another deeper one.. I do believe a diagnosis must double guarantee its correctness by multiple tests..

I have to agree with Cem on this, swmbo has had a terrible time with misdiagnosis over that last couple of years, blocked artery in the foot eventually diagnosed, ultimately leading to recent heart op............. :-X :-X :(

Many moons ago ::) I twisted a collar bone in the joint (clavical ?) which didn't hurt at all at the time, but swelled up and was very painful for years after. As part of this I now have over stressed chest muscle holding the shoulder in place. Something I'm not aware of until I relax and then the muscle relaxes. But when it does so its very sudden and feels like a palpitation. A big one. Coupled with an amount of pain that radiates down the left arm and covers the chest, well, you can guess what that might feel like.

Thing is panic sets in and heart rate goes through the roof. ;D or used to. Now I know what it is there no panic and I can control it.

Thing is, obviously, unless you've had a heart attack in the past and know what that's like, you do assume the worst. Something my GP couldn't possibly understand. Arrogant tw@!

Anyway. Not to be taken lightly, but there are looooads of symptoms in the upper left torso that can be very worrying.

all of us are under a high risk with this nutrition habits, high daily stress and low exercise habits..

its a no brainer that if surgeons had time to cut any of us randomly  ;D  to investigate ,  they will face high fat oiled nearly non-working inner organs , contracted blocked arteries with weak joints + muscle groups here and there.. :(

better safe than sorry..

I dont lift heavy things and only took a headlight out the carYou don't have to be doing much EMD. A few weeks ago I was hoovering when I got terrible chest pains and a pain in my jaw. (another indication of heart attack.) Stupidly I finished hoovering. Sat myself down, my wife's carers phoned for an ambulance. Wouldn't go with them until my sister arrived to look after the missus. 2 hours later I was on the heart ward complete with 2 stents fitted... :y did they make an effort test ? As I also have emphysema I would not have been able to do that.  :( So what then Cem? The most painful bit was pulling off those sticky monitor bits, bejesus that smarted. So pleased I'm not hairy... :o ALWAYS err on the side of caution EMD, 'better to be safe than sorry'... Take care  :y

Thanks for the kind words  :y Still no relief as of yet but i did get a good few hours sleep last night . Only slight relief is if i lean away from the painful side  :( Deep heat rub helps slightly , painkillers "12 a day" dont seem to be working although they do knock me out at night so i can sleep  :( Doctor said it will take at least a week for any improvement and up to 3 weeks to fully heal  :-\

Good painkilling remedy I find is, paracetemol and tramadol, not taken at the same time but about 30 minutes apart...

Getting hold of tramadol (or trauma doll, as my gaypad likes to call it) isn't easy.

Nah, I'm with your quack. I always assume the best when it comes to my health.  I usually mend. Eventually.
