Hi Jay,

I've got a set of drill bits which go up in wire gauges so very small increments. could probably do 2.6, 2.7, 2.8... Feel free to pop over for a re-drilling sometime. :y

(actually, you could perhaps advise on LPG tank mounting in exchange :-[)

25 ms injector duration will be a problem. At 6,000 RPM you have 20ms between each firing of the cylinder to get the fuel in so even if the injector is fully open it'll struggle. Have a look at the factor in the LPG map at the top end of the durations (petrol injector duration is likely to top out at about 14 - 15 ms). If it's more than 1.5 or so there's likely to be a problem. Does your LPG ecu have any "injectors fully open" faults stored?

I would try upping the pressure first, though. It's less hassle than re-drilling and reversible if it goes wrong!

Before you do, though, have a look at the vapour pressure as you step on the loud pedal (on the road, under load). It will probably briefly dip as the manifold vacuum disappears but make sure it recovers to close to the set pressure and doesn't drop off as the engine winds up. Just to make sure it's not a supply problem..

Nice looking stereo Jay, and a good match with the surround :y

Is your manifold still on offer or have you used it now??
So do you normally mount the injectors in the manifold or where you have them now :-/

Kevin, I might take you up on that, if you need a hand with the tank let me know what night you need me up there ;-)

I will have a look at gas pressure as i stomp on it just to see what it is doing  :y
it does flag up erroes when i am WOT, sometimes it will even revert back to petrol, however i have a feeling when it has done that it is due to low pressure which may support your theory about the vapouriser pressure

Daz, If i use the intermediate then you can have my predrilled manifold if you want, it is all drilled and tapped and ready to go  :y where i have them currently is the normal place, i was just messing around and wanted to see if they would go in there.....boredom on a sunday you see  ;)

It it's switching back to petrol it'll be due to low gas pressure, I believe. There's a threshold in the ECU settings. If it falls under this for 300 ms (IIRC) it switches back to petrol.

I assume the vapouriser's getting nice and hot?

Is the manual tank valve (if fitted) fully opened?

I would appreciate a hand with the tank fitting if you don't mind. Firstly, I'm finding it's hard work to do single-handedly and secondly I'm aware that you've been through it recently and probably have figured out where it's possible to drill the floor.  ;)

It seems to me that most of the floor is out of bounds due to the diff and subframe so I think getting some long bolts and spacers and going through the box section either side will be the only option. I think you mentioned that this is what you ended up doing?

My tank was quite easy to mount - all just go through in the right locations - pictures when feeling mobile.

Mine is on about 1.2 on WOT as if any more it drops to petrol and plays up. More gas pressure can jam the injectors.

Perhaps I ought to fit two extra injectors working on WOT only
