Bugger, sounds like drilling may be option.

Of course, after the wheel was last fitted, didn't you go round and retorque the wheelnuts?

had a similar problem (i think) before, what i did was to drill into the remains of nut and then use a centre punch or similar drift and hammered it round to start it off ::)

might work :y

Well a 3/4 socket hammers on nicely, just doesnt grip quite enough, so looks like a 3/4 remover may do the trick.

I have a set of those removers and generally have found them crap.....that maybe because I explore all other techniques first before trying them though!

I'll try anything!

Need some more drill bits as well ;)

Tried araldyting the key to the lock overnight, didnt have enough grip to survive the bar though :(

in situations like this i get the largest nut i can get on top of the wheel stud,crank up the mig welder and weld the centre of the nut to the remains of the wheel stud.allow to cool and if you can weld ::)the stud should wind out. 8-)

You could drill small holes into the nut from front on and then split with a chisel

I used to have locking wheel nuts, but they weren't very good.  They gradually distorted and it became more and more difficult to get them to engage properly.  Eventually, after failing completely to remove a wheel, I get the got the garage to take them off.  

Nobody's nicked my wheels yet. :)

Which is rather disappointing - I think they're really ugly. :(

I spent about four hours drilling and chiselling the basteward wheel nut on the rear ns passenger wheel.  It does work but make sure you have plenty of drill bits - they seem to have a tendancy to break off in the nut itself.  Its more persevarence than anything else.  If you have an SDS drill with hammer action and chisel, give that a go, worked for me. :exclamation
