hi everyone I'm new to the forum, need some help with various issues on the omega 3.2. It is 52 plate auto elite with 103.000 miles.
Couple of months ago noticed it pinking under load but not on idle. So I decided to change timing belt, water pump, thermostat, plugs and coil packs, now it's worse, so rechecked timing belt which is spot on.
Now I have fault codes as follows: 0650,420,300,302,304,306,303,100
Have also put new knock sensors on as well.
Did notice a bit of milky gunge on oil filler but have only been doing about 5 miles a day for last 3 weeks.
Only pinking when warm though any help would be appreciated

Pretty sure P0100 is MAF sensor code and the 300 series ones cylinder misfire codes there is a list of codes for the 3.2 DBW engine on here somewhere have a dig around  sure you will find them

Here are your codes 
P0100 Mass or volume air flow circuit high input (MAF sensor)
P0300 Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected 
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
P0306 Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) - I get this code at least once a week- loads of info on here to move the pre-cat sensors to fix this code from showing.
P0650 Malfunction Indicator (MI) Control Circuit High Instrument
P0650 Malfunction Indicator (MI) Control Circuit Low Instrument
P0650 Malfunction Indicator (MI) Control Circuit Open Instrument

Get the Codes reset, and then start again and see which codes start to come up etc for a clearer picture.

Firstly, ignore the P0420... it is practically a factory fitted item on the 3.2
Secondly replace the bulb for the engine management light... this will solve the P0650.
Thirdly romove both coil packs and check the plug wells for oil and water. Also check the foam across the bsack of the engine. If this is wet, then that's the likely cause of your misfire. The solution is to remove said foam and reseal the scuttle as per the guide to ensure it is water tight
If you find that the plug wells contain oil, then the only solution is to change the camcover seals

That only leaves the P0100, but you need the misfire dealing with first

Ok thanks for advice quick update removed coil pack and on cylinder 2 spark plug thread have light brown residue and on number 4 thread a small amount of oil rest are all clean on the threads. Spark plugs are all new.
One spark plug is a light brown colour around the electrode & the other five are like they have just come out of the packet. Ps what foam is being referred to at the back of the engine
Have replaced bulb and still getting the 650 code

The foam rubber which is underneath the plastic scuttle 

If the water seaps past the wiper motor spindles, it tends to soak it up then dump it all over the coil packs / back of the engine.

Best to seal it up with some silicon sealent.
Also around the coilpacks too

So for clarity, when you turn the key to position 2, bith the spanner light and engine light come on

Needs a look at with a Tech 2 ideally If you're not too far from Brackley, the pm TheBoy to get the codes looked at in detail... there might be more going on than is obvious.

Thanks for reply to the foam will check that. Engine management light on constant, codes come up with pedal trick. Codes were wiped about a month ago but now are back and have lots of tappet noise when accelerating at certain speeds. Did have a temperature issue but found a blocked pipe on the oil/air separator at back of the engine so have cleaned all the various pipes through to the air intake manifold flaps had a gravy coloured sludge in it. There's no oil in the expansion tank but know from a previous omega that the oil cooler causes this problem.

Any sign of rusting under the coil packs

Coil packs are new as there was some rusting on top of 2/4/6 cylinder coil packs.r/hand as you look at the engine, other side was fine but replaced both anyway.

Does it run properly with the MAF sensor unplugged?

Ok interestingly enough the engine runs the same with the maf plugged in and when it's not plugged in, checked the foam under the windscreen tray and its dry as a bone.

Ok, that rules out the maf itself...
