Thanks lads will check for fuel/ spark. I thought it was gonna fire straight up as it did try the very 1st try but then it's just cranking over with no hint of firing up.

Just been to car, now thinking maybe fuel pump as can't here it when turn key just a faint click in engine bay

Is there any pressure at the fuel rail?

If not, is fuse 18 in the dash fuse box intact? If fuse ok, swap the two purple relays in the engine bay fuse box. One is for the fuel pump, tother is for the injectors.

Turn the ignition on again.  If you can now hear the fuel pump, then the relay was faulty... not that uncommon, if not then suspect the fuel pump...

Can't post pic but is fuel rail above inlet manifold? There's no pressure when push pin in on that under the black cap. Will check fuse/ relay later thanks for reply

Well can report my saga is over, thankyou Taxi Al, went to check the fuse you said, seems it had worked loose a bit, pulled it out very easily, pushed it back in and Bingo, started 1st click !! At least its got its new cam sensor which it had been asking for at lives to fight another day  :) :)
