Hellfrauds misery...
« on: 25 February 2015, 18:25:29 »

So, went in on Friday to order item 'A' (top box) and item 'B' (roll cab).

''We have item A, webby but don't have item B. I'll order it now, it'll be in tomorrow and i'll call you when it's here''

Tuesday arrives with no call...  ::)

Ring them myself....

''its not showing as in but ill call you right back to tell you if its here''. get a call 5 hours later (at least she did call back  ::)) ''yes mr webb, its all here, come and collect''

get down there. really nice bloke to be fair. but get everything home, unpackage and item 'A' is damaged (bloody great dent in the side) and item 'B' is item 'X'.....another top box.

Oh lord, do look down upon me when I go down there tonight to sort  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Spanish version of Helfrauds (not that they have anything remotely as good)

I would like a top box please?

Don't sell them
well you had one in the window last week.
Juan, do we sell top boxes?
Yes in the Manolo catalogo.

Right yes here it is. Only comes in Black.

That will do my rig is black, how much is it?
450 euros! I can get one including postage from Britain for half that price but I need it so I will take it now.
Haven't got one but can get you one for Tuesday (today is Monday)
Which Tuesday? Manana amigo.
Right I will be back tomorrow evening. Do you want a deposit?
No, see you tomorrow.

Next day

Have you got the top box?
Juan, has that top box come? No , should be here tomorrow.
See you tomorrow

Wednesday
Have you got the top box?
No, should be here Friday
What is the holdup? Holidays and Fiestas.

Friday
Juan, is that fellows top box in? Yes
Brings package in and it is white.
Thought you said the only colour was black.
It is in the catalogue.
Ah beggar it , I will take it.
That will be 550 euros.
How much? The white ones are more expensive.
I am not paying that.
Where are you getting the black ones from?
Head office in Granada.
Right ring them now and ask if they have a black one in the store.
They have. Right put my name on it and I will go and collect it tonight. OK

Later that same day after siesta closing
Pull up in Helfraudo Head office in Granada car park. Closed for fiesta of Saint Isidro.

I Go home and order one off Ebay special delivery.

Here on the Monday and still only cost 300 euros and it is black

Footnote
Juan- funny that English geezer still hasn't collected his top box!

Well done, sounds like you got a few bargains. :) :) :) You make your own luck and IMO you deserve it as you have taken risks, worked very hard on changing your career into the motor trade, been very enthusiastic on learning how to do your job very well and now it is working out well for you. I take my hat off and salute you and hope that all deservedly goes very well in the future. :y :y :y :y :y

I feel your pain, and although the whole affair of getting something and finding it damaged is really annoying, I do confess I sometimes secretly hope things are 'not as advertised' as you can get a massive discount - like a snapper missing from a set, so it's half price, you then walk across the room, buy that missing spanner, and you're still up about 1/3rd of the original price - that kind of thing.

Bought a beautiful lava lamp a few years back, it arrived, wrong name on it, wrong colour lava. They sent a fresh bottle, in the right colour, no charge, and said 'of course you may keep the other bottle as an apology'  :o needless to say I was chuffed. Especially as I was going to buy the alternative-coloured bottle anyway when my bankbalance allowed it  :y

Do it loads with good shoes/boots on heeebay - worn once, or small scuff from being stored, that sort of thing, get them at ridiculous cheap prices sometimes. :)

The red one has the advatange that you can pop the pins out of the hinges on a 200pc socket set, and it fits.  It won't fit in black ones as the drawers aren't as wide :(
