Rear Shocks: GM vs B4's vs Meyle
« on: 04 September 2015, 18:23:27 »

I removed rear shocks a couple of weeks back, cleaned them up, checked they returned down in one smooth motion and refitted. Now they are clean with no road muck on them, there is clearly oil around the shocks.

So they are fubared!

Question is do I go GM or B4? Not interested in firming ride up, after comfort and long life.

Are the B4s stiffer then GM? Would I notice a difference? Those that have fitted them, how did you find them?

Meyle look very competitive, just £23 each from AGP. Do they have same warranty as drop links? Can't see any reference.

First thoughts are give Meyle a go, given price difference. Think B4's are more like £55 each?

Thanks. How much were they? Unless blind, could not see them listed.

If anything, I'd like them slightly softer  :) - So will give B4s a miss I think  :y

I fitted a set of KYB rear shocks to mine last year and they're fine.  £44 for the pair delivered.  :y

I'll be going B4's soon as the Borgs on the rear are going away plus I need a firmer ride for the track days :)

Got Bilsteins on the front so might as well match with the rears too :)

Sachs should be fine as they were factory fit, presume the posturing is cost relatedhence the budget suggestion :y
