replaced my wishbones at 70k and just done them at 139k due to excessive corrosion but no problem with the bushes.

I think parts these days are all suffering from poor quality and don`t last like they did but having two premature failures from the same brand has put me off using them again.

Same, I had crappy GM droplinks. Really short life, Meyle one have outlasted GM by twice as much so far, still good. Find myself using less and less GM stuff.  :(

Harder to get GM TC parts too, what with ECP walking distance away and AGP on fast mail order. Easier to go elsewere now
Have to agree on the Meyle HD droplinks, done over 50K on my 2.6 now whereas the genuine GM's lasted less than 10K.

I still say the B4's are better shocks though, just because they are slightly stiffer doesn't make the car harsher, in fact the fact the car holds a bend better is far more preferable than the back end wallowing and making rear seat passengers feeling nauseous.

Indeed. I'd consider them more for the 3.2 as that goes get chucked about more, but not the 2.2.

My shocks do get a hammering, rough country road commute etc.

Any shock is going to feel firm, as you are replacing completely buggered ones with working ones. B4 is not a sports shock, its an OE aftermarket direct replacement shock.

For me, the jury is still out on Meyle. The droplinks tend to get recommended, as most other options are shite, rather than them being great.

The bullet still sits on its 224k, 17yr old drop links.  TBE sits on the Meyle ones, as the originals failed sub 100k

Would I buy GM shocks?  Not for a car I chuck around (I'd go B4 or even B6 maybe). For comfort? Well, I put GM ones on the bus.

I need to replace my rears again as well, won't be fitting GM ones again though.
Last replaced 4 years & 28k miles genuine GM, car has never carried anything heavy or been abused.
Will probably try the Meyle version.

Thanks for comments all.  :y

I'll probably order some Meyle next week and report back on them during fitting.

As part of my "let that nice Jason man melt my credit card" I've ordered some B6s all round. Wont be able to give a direct comparison as the original MV6 suspension is very tired, but I will see how it feels...

Jason and his mate Matt had a go at my credit card too, but not so bad. Meyle shocks were at least a 3 week wait, they recommended some others. They called me back with their suggestion at around 2pm yesterday, guess what arrived this morning!  :o

I can't actually remember the name of them, only mentioned once on the phone, but advised slightly better than Meyle. Less than £50 for 2? See how I get on  8)

Excellent service, will do a little review of these shocks at the weekend when I fit them.

For the record i Personally rate the B4's, have them all round on mine with killen springs.
The handling is so much better, and i dont think they are that stiff.
Still quite comfortable.
I find that every car i get in to as a passenger is always a lot bumpier..

I've bought Meyle shockers, will fit them at the weekend.
The bottom securing bolts look a bit tired, does anyone know what size they are?
I'd prefer to have a couple of new ones to hand just in case.
