I used to get 440 from a tank, "amber gambling" on the fuel light but lately its shot up to 460-ish - although i've had a few long runs to Peterborough (90 miles each way, give or take) this last fortnight.

Still wonder if a 2.5 V6 would be any different in fuel than mine - 75% of my commute is 50mph+ A roads.  Silly me buying a 4-pot cos i thought it would be more economical!

I should be able to squeeze 500 miles from a tank in mine given its doing 32mpg (based on brimming the tank and Odometer readings) - i must have one of those "pessemistic" gauges.  Don't know what the TID thinks it is - too many dead pixels!

When the last fuel crisis was on, 2002? I was getting near 40mpg out of our old 2.0L Manual estate just driving smothly and slowly, boring though........... ;D ;D ;D

I was driving round like a hooligan in my Westfield as it was one of the few cars on the road around here that could burn LRP (no cat). Every garage ran out of unleaded and diesel but LRP was plentiful.

Roads were nice and quiet too. :y

Economy great on a run, pic taken after 75 miles  :y

Due to a dodgy MID, the "3" at the front is actually an 8  :)

In reality though - I would probably get about 5-600 miles from a tank if I am being careful. Usually 4-500 ish.

Saw 774 miles range yesterday about 90 miles after a fill up..I was doing my best to stretch it as I wasn't in a hurry.
MPG currently shows 38.2, general driving - I know I could push this up if I zeroed it and started again.
Best ever was 50 mpg, Norfolk to Sheffield.

2.2 DTi estate by the way.
