Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+

Decided it might be time for a new fone  :-\

Probably will settle for an S6 but not much difference in cost for the Edge, Heard good and bad about the S6 Edge +,  but wondering what people thoughts are. :y and if there are any issues to watch out for.

Normal S6 is an outstanding phone, one of the best out there. Just junk the shite Samsung interface, install "Google Now" for that Nexus type experiance. Perfect combo.

Edge version feels odd in the hand, bit of a gimmick really. I'd plump for normal S6  :y

My wife has the S6 Edge and loves it.  :y She switched from her iPhone 6 and once she got used to the different set-up she was glad that she made the change. Photos taken on it look really good and overall she is really pleased with it. The 'edge' of the phone can be set up to flick up favourite functions quickly.

She has it in the proper 'Edge' case though as it does feel like it may slip through your fingers. You can answer the phone through the case front if need be.  :y

Mrs has the S5 neo, it's a bit smaller and easier to handle and most important cheaper :y

Up until a week ago I'd have scoffed 'iPhone' at you all.. but now mine has started acting up (and this is already a replacement phone after the first one died two months into a 24 month contract) with the digitiser not accepting input and/or the upper 1/4" of the screen being corrupt until you tweak the corner of the phone (seems like a physical connection problem internally)..

..now I'm half tempted to see what this Android shenanigans is all about.  Maybe a OnePlus X or a YotaPhone..

One Plus 2 is now £249 for the 64Gb one and sounds quite attractive, I`m still happy with my Nexus 5  8)

S7 will be announced at end of the month and probably released next month, so worth waiting and if you don't like the S7 at least the S6 will come down in price.

Wait, as new Galaxy out soon, so S6 prices will drop.

Samsung constantly getting a proper (deserved) slating by all and sundry for not bothering to close security flaws. Given the extreme costs (on par with gayPhone), if Android floats your boat, there are better options, much cheaper.

Whilst hanging about in town today for the time for an appointment to come round I was doing a bit of "window shopping".Looked in the window of Brighthouse,they had a Galaxy S6 in there.Only £17.50p per week and a total price[including optional product insurance] was a mere £1350 :o :o How desparate do you need to be for a phone to pay that! :-\ :-X

There is a brighthouse where I work (scumsville), and they work on the principle that their clientele cant get alternative credit. Much like the 2nd hand car dealer next door selling Pug 206's and old Focuses for £5k, to cater for those who cant get normal loans.
