We have an Actifry. Ultimately, the chips don't taste as good as when we had a deep fat fryer, to me its more like oven chips done properly (which we could never manage using the oven, as they always came out unevenly cooked, no matter how often you turned them).
However, it is simple, even I can use it. Chuck in the chips, half fill (as round here, we can only get oven chips, not proper frying chips) the green spoon with oil, turn on, set a timer for 32 mins, job jobbed.
We've had it a couple of years or more now, I'm concerned about reliability. We are on our 2nd paddle, and now the rim has broken. Spares readily available from those vacuum/electrical shops you get in most high streets, or from the usual online places. Tefal sell online at reasonable prices, but postage costs makes a £7 paddle quite dear.
