So it's been reported that he's on his death bed and is being given end of life care.I'm not usually one for wishing ill on people but in his case I hope it's long slow and excrutiatingly painful

Should have died swinging on the end of a rope a long time ago. I hope there is a hell and there is a special corner reserved for him.

This begs an interesting question, back then we were still very much into capital punishment I think? How did Brady escape an appointment with Mr Pierrepoint?

I don't know enough about his conviction to know.

I believe capital punishment in the UK was abolished in 1965.

'Moors murders' took place in 1966......I think.

Capital Punishment was abolished in UK in November 1965. Brady and Hindley were tried in April 1966 .

The abolition (if it had to come into law) should have been delayed until those two had been tried. It would have saved taxpayers millions, and made the world a better place.
Personally, I'm all for bringing it back.

Regardless of the death penalty,I think the hope[however forlorn]was that the remains of all the victims would be found.Sadly even that very faint hope has now been finally extinguished forever.Perhaps a case should have been made all those years ago for the use of a truth serum type drug?
I'm a big fan of the moors and dales but I have to agree with redelitev6 Saddleworth Moor does seem to me to be a bleak and desolate place every time I pass by it,maybe it's the connection that does it I don't know.
