Life without a mobile phone
« on: 05 August 2008, 15:08:15 »

Been without one for about a month - it's great.

Apart from not being able to exchange a message or two with Maria in the daytime while I'm at work, I don't miss it at all :y

Mine's no bother. It's when you start telling people the number that they become a PITA.  ;D

Mine gets very little personal use, but I have to have one for work, out of hours support etc.

Apart from that I would happily not carry one, would like to keep one charged up in the car though, for that you never know moment.

i lost mine last thursday night and feel absolutely gutted.

for two reasons, really. First it's a major part of my life that's gone and so it's a major PITA to not have it! Second, i got out of the habit of monthly backups (messages, contacts, appointments, photos etc) and so have now lost three months of data! It's caused me lack of sleep!

i appreciate this may seem extreme but i'm really frustrated! not to mention the hassle of getting a replacement. oh - my - god! bloomin o2!!

It only got lost somewhere in between putting it in my pocket at the end of work and getting to my front door so a 20minute window! i've quizzed all the staff, cleaners, put up posters and rang it for ages trying to find the noise.

still looking......

least i have a couple of spares for some sort of contact!  :y

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!

Mines there for one simple reason, for people to contact me if they are desperate.

I Never put credit on it unless it's an emergency.  I have kept the same number from day one.the number is now being used in phone number 6, maybe 7 and am ready for a new second hand phone.  (Tunnie never replied when I got cheeky asking on discounts for a couple of phones he had in an older ther (N70 was one of them))  Total credit ever put into my phone I reckon is £35 and most of that has been wasted not putting the phone lock on.  ;D ;D

So do I, but that's because both of my watches are currently broken so my mobile is my only means of telling the time. :'(

I rarely use mine, the daughter has only got a mobile and no landline, so I use it to call her because its cheaper and thats about it.
