what, if not an omega?
« on: 10 August 2008, 00:37:40 »

very happy with my 3.2 its on a 52 plate and an 03 car TB tells me going by the vin plate. So its about as late as likely to get. I intend to keep it at least 5 years minimum. During my search for the ideal omega it was clear they becoming harder to find. So i got thinking what the hell am a going to replace this one with when it finally claps out?
Presuming, as seems likely, that omegas will be all dead and scrapped by then, what is depreciating quick enough in the exec. car market that will have all the latest toys and comfort for under 5k with
50 to 70000 miles that i can buy as cheaply as poss.

In other words what else are we going to buy when there are no more omegas left?

Well thats the interesting question isnt it.

Unless they bring a RWD motor out we are stumped.

My choice for a few years down the line is an Insignia 4x4.  Noway I fancy wrong wheel drive.

heart says supercharged XK, but i think running costs will be too high.

Monaro  8-) - Would be ideal, but cannot afford.

Don't like Mercs, old style 5 series is nice.

Suspect Audi A6/A8 would be my replacement.

Well already looking for the perfect S-Type, but guess a GS300 or LS400 would be worthy,

Though did have 3 months use of a 2000 spec audi A6 quattro...
