OK, I know the best breadmaking machine ever is your hands to the purists but for those whose hands are not quite up to par.., I bought a Panasonic SD255 this week. Read a load of reviews that say its the best ever and thought ok, might give it a try (if as bad as my other one it was going straight back).
Can't believe how good it is. Average loaf costs £0.50p to make (including electricity costs) - compared to same for cardboard bread or £1.20 for decent shop bought bread but this tastes excellent and is easy to use (takes less than 2 mins to load with yeast, flour, little salt and scoop of butter) and rises very nicely. None of those yukky US recipes with dried milk in and 'guaranteed to be unhealthy' salt by the mountain load (apologies to anyone from US here). I got mostly very sound bricks out of my other breadmaker but this one is totally different and I'm sure makes a far healthier, tastier loaf.
Generally have a queue forming as the thing finishes cooking lol.
And no, I didn't buy it off ebay lol.., cheaper on Amazon (and easier to return)
