But my BT Yahoo mail seems to be working? :-?

did you install some new software ?

or play with something on the system ?



Earlier today I did load up a smiley offer, but FF put it into quarantine but then released it and has disappeared! :o :o

This is one of the reasons I run my own mail server...does mean I have to fix any problems but at least I can track down where it is going wrong

Recently 'learned up' and being more careful now, honestly.

Lizzie - telnet to the name of your mail server on port 110, eg, from command prompt:

telnet mail.omegaowners.com 110

then type user followed by your username, then pass followed by password. Should get a non ERR prompt

That shows I have 6 unread messages, totally 18k
type

top 1 100 to read first 100 lines of 1st message.


If that works, your mail server is fine, issue with your client config.
