What does that mean Cem?  What do I have to do please.

did you install some new software ?

or play with something on the system ?

Earlier today I did load up a smiley offer, but FF put it into quarantine but then released it and has disappeared!

I dont see/think any direct relation with the logon process :-/

try resetting your password may be corrupt..

does your pop3 server need tls or similar encryption?

Heck TB, what does that all mean?

I have researched TLS / SSL but am no wiser TB so any other tip/advice would be very welcome please!

This is one of the reasons I run my own mail server...does mean I have to fix any problems but at least I can track down where it is going wrong

Lizzie - telnet to the name of your mail server on port 110, eg, from command prompt:

telnet mail.omegaowners.com 110

then type user followed by your username, then pass followed by password. Should get a non ERR prompt

If that works, your mail server is fine, issue with your client config.

Thanks for all your help, and my problem has now been resolved!!

Don't really know how, but with TB's, Cem's and Skuntie's plus others great advice I managed to clear it!! 8-) 8-) 8-)
