How long did that take!! assume you had a bit more than the odd break. We did Gorleston (nr gt yarmouth) up to Fort William the other year, hired a cottage right on the edge of Loch Ness, had a brilliant couple of weeks touring around. Took the scenic way rather than the motorway in the " bus "but took us 9 hours inc stops !!Still, we'd certainly hliday in Scotland again.,

(As normal, little discussion from ole big ears and the rest of the panel
---definite bias still on motd---but who cares, we WON  :y-or have I mentioned that before?)

Might be seen as lane hogging but this was still well after the "get in lane " sign so I was in the correct lane and doing 70 in a 70
limit. Cant win here can I?.
                                                   jerry :(

Not if your in the wrong lane at the wrong time, mon ami!!   ;)

Think a course of driving lessons may be the order of the day :-?

I'v been thinking about this one....dangerous I know but....... :D

Being in the forces, personal security is always on my mind and if I had someone drive right on my arse like that I would prob let them pass.  If that didn't work and they stayed behind me I would prob start to think I had a problem and god knows what I would do....

.....scary huh?

If you were anything like me, by the end of it the phrase "numb bum " was probably an understatement!

SWMBO & I were at John O'Groats the other year and I spotted a Morris Minor (in running restoration) on a car park, didn't think much of it. Then shortly afterwards spotted another  :-/
Then down the end of the road spotted yet another ... drop head .... so had to ask why I'd seen 3 Moggy Minors in such a small place. they were on their anula Joggle Run http://www.morrisminoroc.co.uk/index.php?page=371
JOG to Lands End in 24 hours!!!!!!

the old bill and all our councils are not accountable !
there are two laws one for us one for them !

pay your council tax or your knicked ! but they can waste f-cking thousands digging up roads and not do f-ck all for 3 months !
but its our money! and we all stand for it!

and the old bill!

So knowing police officers break the law a bit in their own time , i would just prefer the points, without the lecture. It aint the punishment really that would break me off , it would be the lecture on how to drive , when its plain to see in their own time they NEVER stick to 30/60/70 etc

I was arrested once on suspicion of petrol theft (my numberplate had been cloned) and in the car the officer waited until the speed camera had gone past and floored it to 70 in a 60 zone. I challeneged him and was told in an angry face "be quiet"

Double Standards!
