take a look at that
looking at it you can just change the vinyl and not the whole mechanism

I used to have an escort cab and yes you can just change the vinyl, but it is far far easyer and quicker to change the whole lot.

do you know the best place to get one
loo-knee is in stoke
been quoted £300 fitted

More than the cars worth!

IMHO £300 fitted is not a bad price.

I did one on my cavalier convertible......total nightmare and would never do it again.....time to call in the professionals.......

If the Alfa ever needs a new roof that will have a pro do it.....way to much hassle getting it all lined up correctly

Technically, I have - but I don't suggest you enlist my help unless you want popper studs rivted onto the bodywork. ;D

Even that simple hood was a bit of a nightmare to fit. Do it on a warm day when the material is reasonably pliable, and hope it isn't too tight when it gets cold and the material shrinks.

I was lucky when I bought the new hood for the MX5, it was a few weeks old and came on the frame so 6 bolts and 20 minutes aligning and that was it :)
