Taking them for walks is difficult, you need a long lead and a handy river!

Hi Skruntie we have a sizeable fish pond at the end of our garden.

About 35ft x 25ft. It is full of golden carp, some of which are 20 inches long. Goldfish, and many others which I'm not sure of.

It came with house when we bought it 5 years ago. Only problem it must have a leak because it constantly needs filling with  water.

Some of the fish have bred, a golden carp has materialised. We call him Kryton because his head is the same shape as the android in Red Dwarf ;D ;D :D
 :-* :-* :-*

I would shot that Bl**dy heron otherwise you wil have a very empty pond ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

He is our guard heron.
But he is not very good at his job,as his real friends have already depleted our fish stocks. :-/ :-/ :-* :-* :-*

Change the Heron to one thats stood up, it looks more intimadating to other birds.

i had 2x 4` tanks a while back until one busted during the night & flooded the front room, so the mrs said only one tank in future, so ive now got a 5` tank that holds approx 65 gallon ;), also got another 5` tank [custom built with double thick glass]that ive got to get rid of due to the mrs objecting so if anybody needs one give me a shout,  :y
If only I had somewhere to put it  :'(

Looks like ive got to stick with my tiny tanks for now. Dont know what size they are,  ones prob 35L ish and other about 25L ish. Oh and their tropical.  :)

Aye we have a pond too, Infact ive just gone and bought a UV light thing for it today, got it wire that up some time this week.

Ive always wondered about marine setups, but dont know anything about them.

Do they require more maintenance / extra Equipment etc?

How big is the sump tank? Guessing it could be used as a normal fish tank still??  ::)

I did take some photos of my main tank few weeks ago, will have to see if I can find them!

as far as i know marine is a full time job but never tried it, as for the sump tank its got baffles siliconed into it but would cut out o,k, its 3`long, 12" wide & i think 15" deep [approx]. also got loads of external filter units knocking around, im not trying to sell them on here as its a miggy forum, unless you are thinking of putting a water feature in the boot of course ;D
