looks like bye bye mig
« on: 20 May 2009, 17:41:45 »

just got back from the hospital
taking ann to work and waiting to turn into a junction
sum silly cow slammed into the back of me
she hit the tow bar that hard it bent the tow bar up in to the boot and pushed all the floor of the boot up and also twisted the towbar
i'm lucky i had the towbar on the car i would hate to think what damage would be if i didnt have the bar on

she has offered me £1000 cash and also told her insurance company
ive just gotta phone mine now to tell them

this close to the wedding as well
not what we needed as ann has got to take a few days off work

im just glad the boys are ok they was my main concern

Nick

Take the grand mate, provided its a genuine offer of course, then go out and get a newer and even nicer Omega with the money mate

£1000 will get you a decent enough facelift these days

I wouldnt take the grand,I would do it properly through the insurance.
I wonder why she is offering a grand rather than letting insurance pay?
maybe she makes a habit of driving into the back of peoples cars. :-/

Who cares what her habits are.....??

If someone wants to smash into the back of my car, hurting nobody, then offer me more than my car is worth in cash, why would anyone say no.............????

Take the grand -- but in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM say or do anything to make her think it's in full and final settlement !!!

Without wanting to appear alarmist -- that sounds like it was quite a shunt ---- keep an eye on the kids and Ann for a couple of days -- wattch for headaches, neck or back aches -- in yourself too -- whiplash can take a couple of days to come out.
