True, but we can't talk about cars all the time and this place does become a bit like the local (Nag's Head, anyone?), so emotive subjects will crop up from time to time.
Anyway, it wasn't as emotive a subject as the Great Hall Cupboard Project of 2007.

I'm not on my high horse Nick, but I learned from a very young age (in fact, it was a rule in the local boozer), that politics and religion are a no-no. They are both very close to people's heart, and invariably descend into insults.
Fine sentiments, Steve, and I generally endorse them. However, we moan about all sorts of things and, these days, that increasingly includes making comments about the way we are governed. From there, it's a short step to discussing ways of changing the ways we are governed and, from there, it's a short step to discussing how....and there you are embroiled in a political discussion. It's a sort of runaway intercourse...
