You will also notice that I didn't post in the bnp thread. You should all know better than to debate such an immotive subject on, when all is said and done, a car forum.

True, but we can't talk about cars all the time and this place does become a bit like the local (Nag's Head, anyone?), so emotive subjects will crop up from time to time.

Anyway, it wasn't as emotive a subject as the Great Hall Cupboard Project of 2007.  ;) ;D ;Dl

I'm not on my high horse Nick, but I learned from a very young age (in fact, it was a rule in the local boozer), that politics and religion are a no-no. They are both very close to people's heart, and invariably descend into insults.

Fine sentiments, Steve, and I generally endorse them. However, we moan about all sorts of things and, these days, that increasingly includes making comments about the way we are governed. From there, it's a short step to discussing ways of changing the ways we are governed and, from there, it's a short step to discussing how....and there you are embroiled in a political discussion. It's a sort of runaway intercourse... ;) ;D

Well, he isnt an EX-MEMBER yet so we must presume he is still a member.

Anyway, like I mentioned before, worse things happen at sea and all that so it would be nice if he stays but if he decides its not for him anymore I am sure the forum will survive too.

Far more important things in life than this so moving on.........

Nicely said I agree, but I still hope cem decides to stay. He is a nice, courteous and invaluable member with loads of experience and always has given good advice to members here. So, cem, if you read this thread, please stay! Take a break, get things right and I'm no one intended to offend you on purpose.

CEM in this world there are always people that talk before they engage their brain -- hopefully this is not the case for you to consider leaving.I have personally enjoyed your "fencing" with other members.I intend visiting Turkey this year for my first holiday there and was about to ask you for ideas on where to go -- if you don't stay in the forum the only other Turkish person I know is the guy down the road who runs a burger bar in the lay-by !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he is a little "strange" :
