all depends - i remember the first xmas me and the current mrs bannjaxx had our first xmas together (2000) now, bearing in mind it was snowing and she was returning from a long night shift at the hospital, i had this great/romantic idea to prepare a champagne breakfast: salmon, eggs benedict, caviar, toast and, of course, champagne. all went great - but she hardly touched the champagne (it was around 630-7am) and off she went to bed.
i polished off the bottle (maybe 730am) and thought about getting the xmas dinner started
hmmm- maybe a beer - after all - it is xmas, one thing led to another - to cut a long story short, by 9am i was p!$$ed as a newt, by 2pm all the veg was done but the oven had been accidently turned off (by me) so we had no idea whether the ham was cooked, whether the turkey was cooked so we binned the lot - i went to bed at around 6pm and the mrs spent the rest of the day alone!

so i'd say that probebly 630am is a tad too early  :y

When is it too early in the day to start drinking?

Never!! ::) [smiley=evil.gif]

Seriously though, I wouldn't make a habit of drinking before lunchtime as I'm not sure I could face alcohol in the morning (unless its continuing after midight ::))

However, on special occassions I might make an exception. The last time was when I had an early holiday flight from Stansted and we hit the bar at 7am for a few Stella's. ::) ;)

Not 100% sure yet Pete. Newent is only a few weeks before I go on holiday for 2 weeks so need to work out if I can afford it - costs me a fortune in beer every time I meet up with you!! ::) ;D ;D

i never have a drink before 10am if its a weekend but would never drink before 1pm in the week. have been known to do 3 days solid sessions, but very rare now.

a man i worked with last year drinks 24 cans of boddingtons every night after work, without fail.
