another nail in your local Post Office's coffin ....

that said one of our local PO's that's able to do road tax always seems to be shut, either half day closing - who still has half day closing? - or their hour for dinner - I'm sure that between the 3 of them they could stagger their dinners .... like almost all the rest of us do.  ::)  :y  :y

Maybe Andy but  I cant always get to the PO but at this rate  I may well have to  :D
Online is so much less hassle usually and it means  I dont have to search for the mot and insurance I have put somewhere safe again  ::)

If the application is refused for any reason, as in a glitch in finding valid insurance or MOT etc, then you must leave it for 24hrs before re-applying or it will be refuse again and another 24hrs must pass.
Happened to me when I was trying to tax my bike. Had only just taken out insurance the day before and my details could not be found on a database search.

Can't think what's causing yours to fail so early in the application stages.

The closest PO to me can't tax them either, but one that can is only a couple of miles up the road.
You know how newsagents have notices about maximum numbers of teenagers allowed in at any one time? The same should apply to OAP's in the PO especially around dinner time when you've nipped out of work on your dinner ...... OAP's have all day!  ::)  ::)   ;D  ;D

I have to say though, I am guilty of increasingly doing more and more business online :-/ Not banking, but paying phone and credit card bills, shopping for all insurances and even more and more shopping, even food shopping........... :-/ :D ::) ::)

But surely you're missing out on trawling round shopping centres when SWMBO  just has a look at this or that. And you miss out on pushing the trolly round Tesco/Asda/etc  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D :y

Drop swmbo off at hairdressers, on to B&Q with Miss Vamps for some bits, that cost a fortune, Brownie shop for trousers, pick up swmbo, off for school shoes, 4 shops, then on to Asda for lunch and Tesco for shopping.  This is my holiday.... :D :D :D
