At 4.50 am this morning my reubens red went out with a bang.My miggy was parked on the road outside of the house under a street light and was written off when it was rear ended by (I suspect was an oldish landrover, the filthy beast ! ) The driver did not stop and absconded leaving me to clear up the mess , and thats just about what I have been doing today. As it was not possible to get the registration plate of the offender for some form of financial recourse, it looks like the miggy will be broken down for spares sooner than I had anticipated

As the miggy had been catapulted 12/15m by the collision and left across a road junction with hazards flashing, after an initial safety check/leaking fuel etc , I was amazed that she started up first time and I was able to park the car. After brushing up the debris from the road, contacting the police etc, this afternoon I put gaffer tape to work to cover up her modesty as her rear end was bearing all.An inauspicious end to a car that has given me long service

I`m not particularly IT litereate when using forums and would appreciate some assistance as to how to post the vehicle on this forum for spares , if someone could assist please ?/please be forgiving if I incorrectly post it on the wrong thread(s) thanks :(

Really sorry to hear that, so much of that happening recently, why people just can't stop and deal with damage they cause I don't know!

Washed it, quick polish then started to work on the rust spots.

Just finishing off getting ready a nissan micra W reg on a 2000 plate I purchased as a first car for my eldest daughter as she needs a city runabout.Today, got 4 new tyres for it - the tyreman said he does not see many of them with only 19000 miles on the clock. The old gent ( circa 85 yrs) who sold me it had for 2 of his major selling points that he had not needed to change the original tyres, and that he had not had any passengers in the car with him since he owned from new -I did not have the heart to tell him.

Some rust/blemishes to deal with later this week, other than that its tip top.

Had to top up the coolant on the Elite, I know it's not the HBV so now I'm going to have to check all the hoses, only thing is, it means the wife will get to take the MV6 up to Norfork next week as my mother has got me painting her kitchen on my days off, of which there is not many between now Friday 24th April

Last time I posted on here that I let the wife use the MV6 Irmscher I got a bit of stick, so let's have all now and get it over and done with. :o
